Nationally Certified Medical Review Officer (MRO) & Support Staff
TMHC Services, Inc. provides review and verification of all drug screens through our Medical Review Officer (MRO) for any positive test result. Our MRO is fully credentialed and trained to manage this process. In the event of a positive result, DOT-regulated employees who are covered under TMHC Services, Inc. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will be referred for an in-person evaluation with a qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). For non-regulated employees in organizations with a TMHC Services, Inc. Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) we will provide employers with customized referral to a qualified professional.
TMHC Services, Inc. Medical Review Officers provide:
- Licensed physicians with expertise in the medical use of prescription drugs and the pharmacology and toxicology of illicit drugs
- Nationally certified by the Medical Review Officer Council (MROCC) and the American Association of Medical Review Officers (AAMRO)
- Strict adherence to the professional code of ethics related to drug testing
- Compliance with Federal Department of Transportation Regulations (DOT) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)
- Competent, confidential review, evaluation and interpretation of drug test results
- Certified MRO staff assists MRO and identifies and corrects procedural errors
- Reporting of all test results on a timely basis to the Designated Employer Representative (DER) and/or the Third Party Administrator (TPA)
- Protecting the rights of the donor being tested and the employer requiring the test
TMHC Services, Inc. provides MRO Services to employers, clinics, hospitals, and third party administrators (TPA’s). Our MRO team acts as an impartial “gatekeeper” to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the drug testing process. All results are received by electronic download and secured fax. They are reported out by e-mail, fax, phone, online or mail.
The MRO office serves as a resource to the employer regarding issues of rehabilitation and return-to-duty following a non-negative (positive) drug test result.
